Noone has heard this recording beyond myself....
Julie Doiron &The Wooden Stars (*Wooden Stars Opener)
They played a 6pm, summer set, July 1998. And despite the beating heat, and beating dance music from the other room. A crowd of no more than 20 people were packed in the back to listen. The path from the dance hall to the washroom ran right through the crowd in the back... I remember Mike F was quitting smoking... but had to bum one ... I hope that worked out. .... regardless,

I brought my tape deck.
The album of the same name eventually came out in early 2000.
This was a kind of 'early rehearsal'... and as tight as on recording day. IMO.
.. more jazzy even....
(the album itself should have been more 'off the floor' itself...even though it already was....)
The highlight = all of it, or tracks 3/ 6/ 9 (really) .... or, in 'a song': Drums&Horns
… but throughout, a really tight set; more so, after each and every song… despite slow starts...
This is ‘quality’ audio, for a Radio Shack mono
tape deck.
